This is the perfect example of why it is critical that community members let the world know about the great students at Cross Keys High School. Without The Brookhaven Reporter spreading the word about Carlton Washington, one of the outstanding seniors at Cross Keys, he would not have competed for this prestigious scholarship.

This year alone, our students have brought home the County championship in the Helen Ruffin Reading Bowl, and the 1st and 2nd place individual awards for the County Science Fair among other competitive, academic accomplishments. Our Science fair winners will compete at State in May and the Grand Prize winner, Denis Jaimes, will compete in San Jose, CA, in an International science fair. In its first year, Cross Keys Robotics team took 7th place at state and has qualified to compete at Nationals in Baltimore this June.
